weBoost partnered with the Westminster Expedition, a semester-long program offered by Westminster College in Salt Lake City. This program is one of the first field-based education programs in the nation.

We sent them on their adventures with a couple Drive 4G-X cell phone signal boosters to help them stay connected during their trip along the western United States. Fourteen students and a few professors traveled in two minivans stopping outdoors to camp while occasionally staying in a motel. Because of the remote location signal boosters were important in order to smoothly run the class aspect of their road trip.

weBoost allowed them to stay connected in the wilderness and effectively run their class. They needed to schedule visits with museums and speakers.

WeBoost allowed us to check in with speakers, schedule museum visits, and conduct research from our phones while we were out in the woods, deserts, or valleys. You never know when you’ll need to make a call, send an email, or learn the details of how to utilize llamas as a way to protect livestock from wolves.” – Dr. Brent Olson, associate professor of environmental studies
