This week for our “Wireless Wednesday” post we’re talking about the latest announcement here at Wilson–our new warranty! Check out the press release pasted below:

North America’s leading maker of cellular signal boosters, announces that effective immediately all Wilson signal booster models are covered by an industry leading two-year warranty from date of purchase.

The company has long warranted its signal boosters for one year against defects in workmanship and/or materials. But now the time is right to extend that warranty, said Laine Matthews , Director of Business Development at Wilson Electronics.

“Wilson unofficially has been honoring a two-year warranty for some time,” Matthews said. “Now we decided to make the policy official. We strongly feel Wilson quality, customer service and technical support are second to none.

“As the leader in this industry Wilson cares deeply that our products work as designed for those who purchase them, and that our customers have a good experience. We’re known for standing behind our products, and we take great pride in their quality.”

The new two-year warranty applies to all new Wilson booster purchases, and retroactively from date of purchase to all Wilson boosters currently in use.

    To Whom It May Concern
A recent problem with the Wilson Eqipment equipment I purchased surfaced and the subsequent conversation with your tech department did not go well. After installing the equipment at my mountain cabin in Southern Utah it worked fine for about 60 days and then went kaput. Nothing worked. I called tech support and after following the instructions by your tech department( requiring me to crawl on hands and knees through the cramped quarters of my attic) it was still not operable. Although Jake, in your tech department, was courteous he lacked the ability to offer anything other than ship one of the components back for testing and it would either be replaced or returned to me. This is terrible service as I am in a remote area and don’t have shipping capabilities. Even if shipping was readily available this back and forth shipping could take weeks, maybe months, as each component would require checking out. Just so you are aware I have a system of a receiving antenna on 10 foot mast, then to a DB amplifier, then to a signal booster, then to a indoor antenna. Entire length of about 45 feet. I would think a company of your size would have a better solution than the one that was offered. Now, the good news. I then called, Jim Moore, the distributor, I purchased this equipment from, (located at Panquitch Lake). Jim, said he would be at my place in an hour. Indeed, he was. He started analyzing the problem by isolating various pieces of equipment with no immediate positive results. Finally, after replacing the entire system; it once again worked. As a result of what transpired I am going to give your Tech Department a D grade and your dealer, Jim Moore an A+. It is probably not fair to grade your tech department so harshly as I realize they can only offer the company procedure given them. I think your company procedure definitely needs review, and improvement.
Thanks for allowing me to vent.

    Dear folks

I need a cell phone booster for a new cabin in th eDunoir valley of Wyoming. Our ATT cell phone works within 150 yards of the cabin, but not there. Surely the signal is weak. But perhaps it is too obstructed.

If I were to buy one of your products and found that it did not work, would you accept a return?

Yes of course! Our products have a money back guarantee as well as a 2 yr warranty. Before purchasing, I would suggest calling our Technical Support department at 1-866-294-1660 or
tech@wilsonelectronics.com. They will be able to assess your situation and recommend the appropriate booster set-up for you. Thanks for the comment!
