How It Works

Signal boosters increase cell signal by collecting signals with a powerful antenna, delivering those signals to the booster, amplifying the cell signals so your devices receive them, and delivering your device's boosted signals back to the cell tower.

1

Receives
Signal

The outside antenna reaches out to the cell tower to access voice and data signals.

2

Transmits
Signal

The booster receives the outside signal from the outside antenna.

3

Boosts
Signal

The booster amplifies the outside signal up to and sends it to the inside antenna.

4

Expands
Signal

The inside antenna broadcasts the boosted signal inside the vehicle.

Survival depending on BARS...

When your driving in some cases 100's of miles away from the nearest basic services having a signal for emergency communication can make the difference between life and death when your out in the Mojave/Death Valley areas of California and Nevada

Don't expect the quality of your old unit

Bought the new Boost product after my old one went bad. Purchased what was believed to be the best new mobile booster available. Only to discover that it performed no where near my old unit. I have seen people talk on a cell phone in a spot without the booster. I can be in the same spot with the booster and not have service? I called the folks at Wilson looking for help. Only to be told to bad. The FCC imposed new regulations that forced them to weaken the product by 60%. Now I have $400 invested in a product that does not perform. Wilson seems to have no concern for customers that have used there products for years. Please do not base your purchase on any information prior to this year. Reception quality is not what use to be. As a matter of fact an ATT cell tower is within 3.5 miles.

Turned a dead zone into a 2 bar coverage zone!

I live in Westchester County, New York. We have a number of cell phone dead zones around us, and I recently entered a contract to buy a home in one of the dead zones. I bought this device and obtained sim cards from T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon to test the booster. With all three services, the dead zone in question extends for about 2 miles. With T-Mobile and AT&T sim cards + this device, the dead zone dropped to about 1/2 mile- that's a huge improvement. However, with the Verizon sim card + this device, the dead zone completely disappeared! I was able to make and maintain phone calls for the entire length of the dead zone and was even able to use mobile data. This device is a game changer.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Highly Recommended For Single Phone Use

I bought this for my F-150. I live in the forests of Northern Idaho where there is limited cell service. I have an hour drive into town so I hit a lot of weak signal areas which drops my calls or keeps me from downloading updates. With this booster, I have no more interruptions. It installed easy and worked great for the limited signal I got. One bar areas are boosted to two; sometimes three, which is acceptable. You can't do anything about a dead zone so if you get no signal...you're just out of luck. Don't buy this unit, drive through a dead zone and expect it to work. It's a booster and it has to have some sort of signal to boost. In areas where there is a small signal, you'll have a decent boost. It's not going to be five bars with super fast speed like in the cities...but it's enough to make a call, get a text, use GPS and what. I've been in areas with two bars that I could turn on my personal hotspot and use my iPad just fine. For the value, it works great and I recommend it. The reason I gave it four stars is the cradle mount. My F-150 simply had NO area near the steering wheel to mount the big 2x2" pad. I had to put it way over by the glove box which is annoying if I need to change a playlist or make a call. I can take the booster cradle off the mount (With the phone in it) and put it in my cupholder so it's closer, but its inconvenient there and gets really warm sometimes. It would be great if they made a more versatile mount which turned so I could mount it on the dash and turn the phone sideways. As it is, you can't mount it on the dash at all, else you can't see the phone. It only turns so far. The cupholder will have to do for now.

Its okay...

The product does what it says but it doesn't boost my signal as much as it says it will maybe -3dbs not -23dbs. Super bulky, coaxial cable on the bottom gets super hot and is hard to screw into the device itself, and the power plug falls out very easily.

Did just what it said it would

Ordered it for a camping trip in the middle of the desert. It arrived quickly and consistently boosted my reception by 2-3 bars. It kept very busy as others from neighboring campsites found out I had it and wanted to borrow it to make calls or check/send emails on their phones. We were also able to use it to make an emergency call for a careflight for someone injured.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

The Central Coast mountains presented cell coverage issues

Thanks to the recommendation by my techie son, the booster preformed beyond my expectations. Not only did it pull in signals in the valleys and ravines that previously left "dead zones" in the mountains of Central California but provided reception while on a two month, 9000 mile road trip from California to Key West FLA. The fact that it's portable is even more valuable to us.

Question: Will theses work in austraia

Answer: Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, we don't recommend our boosters for most carriers in Australia at this time, due to frequency ranges. We may not be able to fully support the bands offered. Please reach out to us for additional questions: http://support.weboost.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Question: How far from the car can I walk and get better reception that this unit offers? Scott

Answer: Thank you for your question. This model will not extend beyond the vehicle, as this booster requires that the phone be in the cradle at all times for boost. We do have boosters that can cover more area, but will likely only cover a 1-4 foot range. The Drive 4G-M, and the Drive 4G-X are the only other models able to cover a larger space in the car.

Question: I've got an new iPhone 6 plus with an Incipio case. Overall width is 3 5/16". Thickness is approx. 7/16". Will it fit in the cradle? I had used a sleek 3g with my iPhone 5s & an external glass mount antenna. What external antenna would work with the 4G?

Answer: Thank you for reaching out to us! The new cradles generally fit 3.1 inches at its widest setting. However, we do have larger arms that may accommodate your phone. As far as antennas are concerned, we recommend using the 301126 antenna that comes with the kit. Question: My 4-year-old Samsung Galaxy S4 has stopped giving me turn-by-turn navigation prompts. How likely can the booster help with this weak GPS signal problem? I'm on Consumer Cellular in Silicon Valley.

Answer: Thank you for reaching out! As long as the GPS is through cellular towers, we should be able to help with adequate starting signal. We would like to work with you directly to see if the Drive 4G-S is the best fit for you. You can reach us here: http://support.weboost.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Question: Are there any permanent mount antennas available that work with this unit? Also, is there a kit to hardwire in the power supply on a switched ignition source. It will be going into a Ford Super Duty.

Answer: Thank you for reaching out to us! There are permanent antennas available, but we would want to assess your situation and your carrier before a recommendation. Some of the NMO style antennas may not support 4G as well. We do also offer hardwire supplies for most of our booster models. We would like to work with you directly to determine which antenna is best for your situation. Please reach out to us here: http://support.weboost.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Question: Will the 4G-S Sleek 4G/470107 accept a Droid Turbo 2 with an Otter case?

Answer: Thank you for reaching out to us! The Drive 4G-S can generally fit a phone up to 3.1 inches in width. With an otter case, it could likely be a tight fit- and may not boost signal as well, as cases can block some signal. Please let us know if you have any other questions. http://support.weboost.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Question: I have a Mevo camera that I want to use in my car. I can connect to a Mevo hotspot when needed but the signal seems to cut in and out. Will this product help? Thank you!

Answer: Thank you for reaching out. Our booster will work as long as there is enough signal to work with, and as long as the camera uses cellular signal from a tower. For additional questions you can reach us here: http://support.weboost.com/hc/en-us/requests/new Or by phone at 866-294-1660.
