How It Works

Signal boosters increase cell signal by collecting signals with a powerful antenna, delivering those signals to the booster, amplifying the cell signals so your devices receive them, and delivering your device's boosted signals back to the cell tower.

The outside antenna reaches out to the cell tower to access voice and data signals.

The booster receives the outside signal from the outside antenna.

The booster amplifies the outside signal up to and sends it to the inside antenna.

The inside antenna broadcasts the boosted signal inside the vehicle.

Question: How do i connect to device

Answer: Hello! The booster will automatically amplify the available cellular signal and simultaneously provide it to the available phones. If you are not seeing an increase, I suggest checking for a red light when the booster is first powered on. If you get a red light, this means that the antennas are interfering with each other causing the booster to lower its gain. In this case, you will just need to separate the antennas farther apart. If you are still not seeing much of a gain, even when placing the phone right next to the internal antenna, then I suggest reaching out to our customer support team at 866-294-1660 or emailing our online support at [email protected] for further troubleshooting. Thank you!

Question: Will it work if your outside of the vehicle like 3 feet away from it.

Answer: This system is for indoor use only and is regulated to cover up to 5 ft. However, it is important to keep in mind that the booster's performance is highly dependent on the outside signal strength. The weaker the outside signal is, the smaller the coverage. If you have any other questions that need to be addressed, please feel free to reach back to us at 866-294-1660 or email our online support at [email protected] Thank you and have a great day!

Question: How many miles away from the nearest signal can it boost or provide signal

Answer: Good question! The distance from towers does not really matter when trying to boost a signal. The antenna will not actually reach out and grab a signal from a tower, but work with what is surrounding it. The distance that a signal travels from a tower depends on the carrier and its surrounding. Buildings and trees act as barriers and affect the way a signal can travel. So as long as there is a signal in the area that the antenna is placed, it will be able to bring it in and amplify it. To get a better idea on how strong the signal at the external antenna is, we recommend taking some dB readings right next to it. If you have any other questions in regards to how the signal is amplified, please feel free to reach out to our customer support team at 866-294-1660 or email our online support at [email protected] Thank you and have a great day!

Question: Can I order a separate wireless antenna like the RV model to use with my Drive 4G-X? The stick on wired antenna installed by Airstream dealer is located in a difficult place to get close enough to.

Answer: Thank you for your question! Unfortunately, we do not have a wireless antenna option for any of our boosters. All of the components need to be connected to the booster via a coax cable in order to properly transmit the signals. I recommend reaching out to our support team at 866-294-1660 or our online team at [email protected] so that they can assist you with a better solution. Depending on what your setup is like, you may be able to just relocate the internal antenna to an area where it is more accessible and more in line of sight to your phone(s). We'll look forward to hearing from you! Thank you!
