Does what it says it does

We purchased this because we live in a dead zone. Texts did not send prior to getting the booster. I had to walk around the yard with my phone in the air! Now I just sit in my easy chair and all is good! I installed the antenna up on my roof attached to my TV antenna. I had to use both of the supplied coax cables because of the distance to the roof. I rand the coax to the indoor booster in the same fashion one would run coax to a TV. I mounted the booster near the baseboard behind an easy chair in our main living area and attached the indoor antenna to it and placed with it up on a window sill. It looks stylish and the indoor antenna cord is about 5 feet long. I plugged the booster into a surge protector as recommended and to protect my investment. We use Samsung Galaxy S4 phones on Straight Talk. The phones operate on the Verizon network. The booster has two channels on it. One is for the frequency that our Verizon uses and I am not sure what the other channel is. You can look it up on the we boost web site. Our channel has a solid green light which is good. The other channel flashes from green to red at times and is a solid green most times. I guess I should call customer service to see if I need to do any adjustments for that. Otherwise this thing works great! We went from a blip of a bar to four or five bars while talking on the phones. Our signal strengthen used to be -115 dBm and lower. It now site around -85 dBm which is a significant improvement for us. The lowest bars I see now while in the range of the antenna is three. Our texts always go thru and texts with pictures also go thru with ease!

Good coverage connection

We have only had the 3G Connect since the fall and so far it has performed well over the winter months. I am not sure how it will perform during the summer with tree foliage. The only issue is with the internal antenna and it's location within the house. As you need to be in direct line of site otherwise there is some interference and unable to clearly hear the caller.

Overall Good Product

We purchased the 3G Directional for our rural home, as we are at least 10 km away from the nearest cell tower and foliage obstruction. We purchased the product in the fall with little foliage obstructions and In the winter the booster worked well with getting LTE and 3G signals. Now that summer time is here, the signal strength is weaker with only getting 3G signals and we have to be closer to the in-house antenna to ensure good cellular call connection and no dropped calls. Overall the product has performed well with no dropped calls, however some minor adjustments are needed (i.e. in where you stand near the in-house antenna during the summer months).

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

weboost for aging parents

Got weBoost 3G for aging parents. My wife's parents dropped there land line to save some extra money. There cell service was OK outside the house but inside it was almost nothing. My Father-in-Law was recently scheduled to have knee replacement and we wanted him to be able to make and receive calls well he was recovering from surgery and unable to get outside. I installed the system myself and it has made a huge difference! No more dropped calls or needing to be outside to talk to someone. Depending on time of day they actually get some LTE internet in the house, which they never have outside. On visits my wife and I's batteries use to be drained in a couple of hours well searching for signal, not any more. Battery life is no longer an issue. They are very happy with the product.

The booster was incredilbly effective

I installed this on the home of my mother in rural Texas. Before installation, she had no or very little/spotty cell service in her home. Since installation, she has "5 bars" all the time. Installation was simple and customer support (which I asked to clarify one aspect of installation because i had not read the instructions thoroughly) was terrific.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Completely Satisfied

I was pleasantly surprised at how good weBoost 3G directional signal booster worked. I live in a log home in a valley completely surrounded by the Belknap Mountains. Before installing it we would get a very weak signal, but only standing by a window. After installing and adjusting the outside antenna we immediately got a strong signal. The real surprise was that it even works in my basement! Simple, easy installation added to our satisfaction. Our visitors, who have a variety of providers, all get the same strong signal. Great product, just as advertised.

Question: Hi I've been recommended to obtain this item to improve my cellular reception I live in New Zealand and would like to know whether I can purchase direct and what cost and time for delivery please

Answer: Thank you for your question. You would have to get permission from your carrier to use our products in New Zealand. We do not offer shipping outside of the U.S. right now. You would want to look for one of our dealers who would be able to ship to you. If you have any other questions feel free to reach out to us here: http://support.weboost.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Question: I am moving to a remote area. I have to switch to AT&T, they place me less than 1/4 mile from the edge of an LTE area. AT&T data is my only hope for internet. Will I be creating my own HSI?

Answer: Thank you for your question! The boosters will not create High Speed Internet. We take the signal coming from the tower, and bring it inside to boost. We can only work within the limitations of the tower, but we are happy to help assess your signal through signal strength to see if we are able to help your situation. Asked by Jimmy 4 years ago

Question: Why did the coverage area change from 2300 sq ft to 5000 sq ft?

Answer: Thank you for your question! We apologize for any confusion. The unit is capable of covering up to 5,000 square feet as a max, with optimal outside signal. The 2,300 square foot estimation is an average of coverage that we typically see across applications. The full amount of inside coverage will always depend on what the starting outside signal is, cable lengths, etc. We encourage anyone to reach out to us at any point before a booster purchase so that we can help take signal readings outside at the area of coverage, to help determine a realistic expectation of coverage with the unit. Answer: We do offer a 12 volt power supply for the Connect 3G- Directional. However, this booster cannot be legally used while in motion.
