How It Works

Signal boosters increase cell signal by collecting signals with a powerful antenna, delivering those signals to the booster, amplifying the cell signals so your devices receive them, and delivering your device's boosted signals back to the cell tower.

1

Receives
Signal

The booster's antenna reaches out to the cell tower to access voice and data signals.

2

Transmits
Signal

The booster receives the outside signal from the outside antenna.

3

Boosts
Signal

The booster amplifies the outside signal and sends it to the inside antenna.

4

Expands
Signal

The inside antenna broadcasts the boosted signal to devices inside the home.

Question: Can I skip using the boosters and connect an outside antenna directly to my MOFI router? My router is getting signal from the cell tower and if I connect the antenna directly to my router then the outside antenna will send the signal directly to my router and boost what my router sends out.

Answer: Thank you for your question! Yes, you can try to connect the external antenna directly into your router but you would need to figure out which connector your router uses for the proper adapter or cable. The antenna alone will not amplify the signal but simply transmit the available outside signal for your router to use. For best results, we recommend using a booster kit, which will amplify your signal, and place the router right next to the internal antenna for it to receive the amplified signal. Question: I installed this at my cabin and it does boot my signal only I have to have my phone within a few inches to a foot from the indoor antenna.is there anyway to improve my range indoors?

Answer: Thank you for your question! The best way to increase the coverage inside is by finding a better location for the external antenna where it receives a stronger signal. The outside signal strength is what determines the inside coverage. Replacing the external antenna with a directional antenna can help increase the incoming signal, resulting in an increased coverage range. You can also try replacing the internal antenna with a panel antenna like the 311155 to help increase the coverage. You would need a cable containing the SMA Male and F Male connectors. This can be found as part number 950621. If you have any other questions that need to be addressed, please feel free to reach back to us at 866-294-1660 or email our online support at [email protected] Thank you and have a great day!

Question: Which outdoor antenna goes with the home boost? I have panel antenna and looking to upgrade

Answer: Thank you for your question! The original panel antenna that goes with the Home Room is the 311155. If you are wanting to upgrade to a stronger antenna, we would recommend the directional antenna 314475: https://www.weboost.com/products/314475. Question: I have an older version of the home room product. It has 2 lights on it instead of 4 if that helps you to date it. Verizon has told us that they are dropping 3G service and I am wondering if the product we have will work with 4G, 5G, LTE or if I need to update that too?

Answer: Good question! The booster you have sounds like the Home 3G (473105). Unfortunately, this booster only supports the 3G network so if you wanted a 4G LTE system, you would have to look into our newer systems. Our systems will support your 4G network well into the 5G roll out. 5G's limited range will not replace the 4G network. Therefore, 4G LTE will be available well into 2030. If you have any other questions that need to be addressed, please feel free to reach back to us at 866-294-1660 or email our online support at [email protected] Thank you and have a great day!

Question: The signal strength from Verizon, who is my service provider, is very poor. It shows up at -113dBm. Is there any expectation on what the signal strength would be after I have installed the We Boost 472120. I am trying to evaluate if it is worth purchasing this unit, as I understand fully that you cannot provide any guarantees as to performance.

Answer: Thank you for your question! If -113 dB is the best you could find outside, the coverage inside will be little to none with any of our boosters and would not be recommended. A signal in the -90's would provide a much more reliable result. I suggest looking for a stronger signal outside of the perimeter if possible. If you are able to work with a stronger signal, we do offer a 30-day money-back guarantee so that you can set the system up and test it out in your area. You are welcome to reach out to our customer support team at 866-294-1660 or email our online team at [email protected] with any questions you may have about the booster and its performance. If you are not getting the results needed after readjusting the antenna and/or doing some troubleshooting, you are welcome to contact our support team within the 30 days to process a refund. Let us know if we can be of any assistance! Thanks!

Question: Is the Home4G booster compatible with Xfinity Mobile devices ? they supposedly use the Verizon network. I installed the booster and I still have dropped calls and the signal strength didn't change at all.

Answer: Thank you for your question! Yes, if your Xfinity device is using the Verizon network, our boosters can help. The performance of a booster can vary from one location to the other due to signal strength. I highly suggest reaching out to our customer support team at 866-294-1660 or email our online team at [email protected] for further assistance with your boosters performance. Our team would be happy to help troubleshoot your booster and see how they can help you receive a better connection. We hope to hear from you soon!

Question: Can the Home Room unit boost signals from both Sprint and Verizon cell phones in the same house at the same time?

Answer: Thank you for your question! Yes, the booster can amplify two carriers simultaneously. When needing to boost two carriers, you want to keep in mind that the carrier with the strongest signal will receive a greater boost in signal. You will want to make sure that the external antenna is in an area where it receives a strong signal for both carriers so that they all receive a reliable signal inside. As for Sprint, we currently do not fully support its 4G signal. The frequencies used by Sprint are out of the traditional range, meaning that no other carrier uses these bands in the US and Canada. Additionally, these frequencies run to close to emergency frequencies which prevents us from having access to them. Our team is working hard in providing a boosted signal for everyone and has been successful in gaining access to Sprints LTE band, Band 25. This band is usable in our newer systems like the Home Complete, Home Multi-room and our Drive Reach. If you have any other questions that need to be addressed, please feel free to reach back to us at 866-294-1660 or email our online support at [email protected] Thank you and have a great day!

Question: I just bought one of these at Best Buy and I've installed it. My signal is still about the same as it was before as well I have all 4 green lights and still getting loading screens

Answer: Sorry to hear that you are not seeing an improved signal. The four green lights are indicating that there is no feedback going into the system. It does not necessarily state that you are receiving a strong signal. We recommend starting off by taking dB readings next to the external antenna and then next to the internal antenna with the booster off and then on. This will give you a better idea of whether or not the booster is amplifying your signal. I highly suggest reaching out to our support team at 866-294-1660 or emailing our online support team at [email protected] for further troubleshooting. Our team will be able to figure out what the issue could be and assist you with the proper solution. We hope to hear from you soon! Thank you!

Question: We live in an all metal construction including roof. The 4g signal outside of the house is excellent! 20 to sometimes 40m download. Phone is 4 bars. Inside the house 4g and phone barely work. Which is best for my application? Single floor 840 square feet small home. Thanks

Answer: Thank you for your question and for your interest in our product! We typically recommend doing a dB reading to determine exactly what your outside signal strength is like for an accurate idea on which system would give you the coverage needed. We do not rely on bars to determine the signal strength, but if you had a perfect outside signal, we would recommend the Home Room 472120. Feel free to reach out to our support line at 866-294-1660 or email our online support team at [email protected] for a more accurate recommendation. Thank you!
