From 0 to 4 in a few minutes!

Right after receiving the equipment, I did a temporary test by laying the antenna on my roof on a two story house in a rural area and running the cable through the window to my ground floor. I use to have 0 signal in the ground floor and it immediately jumped to 4 bars. I was able to place a crystal clear call. If you have minimum coverage in your roof, I highly recommend this device.

Not too sure........

I have had the product for 6 months. I live on a hill just outside of Toronto. My Cell reception was sketchy at best in the house so bought a 3G Omni. Outside my signal varies from 102-108 normally. When I plug the machine in it usually gives me 5 bars for the first 10-20 minutes. After that it is not constant at all. Sometimes 5 bars --- sometime 1 bar. Does not even seem to change with weather. When I purchased it I did not know I could have got a 4G for my Iphone 6 and do wonder if that would help but I have already bout the 3G (simply because the salesman did not really know about the product) so can not see gambling again for the money. I will say that I have trouble writing negative as the service people on the phones were very good to deal with and I do believe the product is probably good. Perhaps just not in my area?

Very disappointed

When we first installed this our signal went up from 0-2 bars to 2-4 bars. By the next day the signal was at 0-1 again and I often still get the message 'emergency calls only'. Today I have a voice mail but don't have enough signal to retrieve it. Very disappointing.

Second purchase, first for personal use, second for work.

I have a get-away cabin (medal building) in the country that had no cell service ( 0 bars). After purchasing and installing the 3G Omni Booster we now get 3 solid bars consistently. I work for a Church and we have a medal building for our students and we recently installed a security and fire alarm system that relied on cell phone service. The system would not work. After several failed attempts, we purchased the 3G Omni booster kit and the security system connected immediately once we installed the booster.

Happy, BUT

Purchased the WeBoost 3G Omni last month after having two Mobile Units in my vehicles. Very happy with the Mobile Units so I think they spoiled me when it came to the 3G Home Unit. Unit was installed easily but the amplified signal is a lot less than expected.

Amazing gains!

I bought the weboost about a month ago and went from no cell service inside my house (metal roof) to excellent service (3 bars). At first I bought the boost with 5,000 sq ft coverage but it was way too big for my 900 sq ft house so I ended up sending it back and replaced it with the one that has 1500 sq ft coverage. The installation was easy enough, it took about 2 hours to install since I had to fish it through my roof joist and the house had block walls.

Question: What is the difference between the 3G and 4G? If you have a 4G phone will a 3G Weboost work? Or a 3G phone with a 4G Weboost? What is your return policy if it doesn't work? I am buying for gift and not my location.

Answer: Yes, a 4G will work for 3G. They are backwards compatible, however a 3G will not work for a 4G unit. 3G is used for calling mostly but 4G is for cellular data for apps and the internet. We have a 30 day return policy on all of our amplifiers. Hope this helps!

Question: I am moving to a house thats on top of a mountain I get 1-2 bars and can get calls and send texts but its spotty.... there is a tower I can see from my house. Would a Booster work for me ??? If so Which one would I need.. I have an Iphone 6s. Thanks

Answer: Thank you for reaching out to us! As long as you are able to make and keep calls at the location where the external antenna will be installed, the booster should work for you. To make sure we make the most accurate recommendation, we recommend reaching out to us directly so we can measure the signal at your home in decibels. You can reach us here: http://support.weboost.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Question: Which coax should I use to extend the external coax?

Answer: Thank you for reaching out to us. We do not usually recommend extending the cable lengths as it may cause a bit of signal loss. If you are looking to extend to 100 - 120', we recommend using RG11. It will have about half the loss of RG6. If you have any other questions feel free to reach out to us here: http://support.weboost.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Question: Will you product improve data dowloads to a point where I use less megs with the «share» function on my iPhone ? Thank you

Answer: Thank you for reaching out to us! We are able to help improve data speeds, and may be able to help improve the situation you are speaking of. The amount of boost largely depends on what your outside starting signal is. However, we work with the limitations of the tower. The only limitation you would have with this product is, it only supports the 3G and voice bands. For LTE coverage, you would want to find a booster with 4G coverage. The equivalent product to the Connect 3G would be the Connect 4G. For additional questions, you can reach us here: http://support.weboost.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Question: I have a straight talk Samsung galaxy 3 that runs off verizon towers. I only get 0-1 bars in my house. whats my best option .

Answer: Thank you for your question! We would like to work with you directly to help make a recommendation. When possible, we like to take readings outside of the home to get an idea on how our boosters will work for your situation. Bars can be deceiving on measuring signal, so we like to utilize numerical readings. Here are the test mode instructions: Verizon/Sprint: "Advanced Signal Status" is a free app for ANDROID phones we recommend using to test the signal with your phone. Once downloaded, find the section that says either "CDMA 3G" and get the CDMA Voice and EVDO data signal readings. Also, you want the "LTE" for the "RSRP Signal" next to it. -50 is excellent and -105 is very poor. We recommend walking on all four sides of the building outside, roof access if you are able. These readings will help us identify which booster would be best, and if we are able to help boost your signal optimally. Once you get those readings you can reach us here, through our online support center: http://support.weboost.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Question: Hi I live in the foothills mountains and dont have a line of site to civilization. My db signal is between 99 and 105. which booster do you offer that will work best for the money? Thanks chris

Answer: Thank you for the question. We recommend reaching out to us through our online support center here, for detailed support: http://support.weboost.com/hc/en-us/requests/new We would like to go over the readings with you, and help determine which network these readings are being taken from. Many db readings through phone settings can read LTE and 4G only, we want to be sure we also look at the 3G signal. We also want to look at the readings and see if that -99 is stable, or if the signal constantly fluctuates up to -105, as -105 is the cutoff point for our systems.

Question: Ilive in a mountainous region of Central Pa. I have verizon i get some signal inside 93 99 asu 96dBm 1asu outside on 2nd floor balcony.  Sometimes get calls rarely can place them signal  is 1-3 bars intermittent, need to drive about 4 miles to get relable

Answer: Typically, we say that if you cannot place a call consistently outside at the outdoor antenna location, we do not recommend our systems. However, the -96 dBm outside is usable, and we would like to look deeper into that possibility. We recommend submitting a ticket so we can take more readings outside, and work with you more directly on your situation. You can submit a ticket here: http://support.weboost.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

Question: Will this work for other networks worldwide? I'm in Egypt on Vodafone and Etisalat networks. Will it work?

Answer: Unfortunately, it appears that the frequencies in Egypt are mostly on the 2100 band entirely. We are only able to cover a portion of the 2100, therefore not being able to cover the band adequately. We do not recommend our boosters for Egypt at this time.

Question: When using one of the boosters, do new numbers have to be added each time some list, or will the booster allow for phones from various carriers to be used once in the vicinity of the device?

Answer: There are two parts to this answer. (1) weBoost does not limit the number of simultaneous connections a booster can support. So there is no artificial cap on the number of connections. (2) However, that means the number of devices that can operate simultaneously depends on the strength of the signal outside his building. The stronger the signal outside, the more devices inside can be supported simultaneously. The same is true in the reverse. The weaker the outside signal, the fewer devices inside the building can be supported simultaneously. No additional setup is needed to allow a new phone to connect to the booster.

Question: I have a two story house with a basement in a city.  Will the booster be able to cover multiple floors, and if so, which floor is ideal to mount internal antenna? Thanks!

Answer: The coverage area of the Connect 3G will depend greatly on the outdoor starting signal. Most of the time you will want an antenna on each floor that you would like covered. I recommend using your phone's test mode to determine what your starting signal is. If you don't know how to locate the test mode, you can find out more about that here: http://support.weboost.com/hc/en-us/articles/206521937-Finding-Your-Phone-s-Signal-Strength-Reading You can then submit a ticket with your signal and home information and we can help you determine what your best options are.
