I now have smartphone service where nothing was available!

There is no signal available at ground level at my home. I installed the 471104 antenna at a height of 35 feet. Voila! An average signal of three bars on an AT&T tower 12 miles as the crow flies from here on my Samsung S4 Smartphone. I had some feedback problems at first but were easily fixed by experimenting with with different antenna locations inside my home. The signal inside was unevenly distributed throughout the house, some locations much stronger than others so I bought a splitter and a second indoor antenna. I now have a uniform signal throughout the house. According to the Netmonitor app I have four towers in range and they seem to switch seamlessly as their signal strength varies. I purchased the 471101 for my friend who lives about a mile from me but is 400 ft higher in elevation. She had service but frequently her 1 to 2 bar connection sounded garbled . I mounted her antenna about 25 ft above the ground and she now has a steady 3 to 4 bar connection on AT&T and is never garbled. Our mutual friend who uses Verizon came for a visit and was able to connect with 3 bars with the booster turned on and no bars, no connection with the booster turned off. He had the same results at my home. I highly recommend this product but if possible find out if there is a signal at the proposed location of the antenna.

4-Star Product but 2-Star Kit = 3-Star Review...

4-Star Product but 2-Star kit = 3-star review... Read the installation manual and talk with support before ordering to save delivery charges and time delays. Critique 1: The Connect 4G-X kit lacks accessories necessary to make a complete installation: 1. 50 Ohm Lightning Surge Protector plus... 2. 2ft cable with "n" connectors to install the lightning surge protector between the outdoor antenna and the signal amplifier. Critique 2: The website needs better product details and search engine; Critique 3: Kits noted as available in the back of the manual are not linked in the search engine or no longer available?

I was thrilled...

We recently built a 45 ft x 90 ft metal building house (Barndominium) 14 miles from the nearest community. We have about 3600 sq feet of two story living quarters and about 1800 sq feet of shop space. So lots of walls in the living quarters (non metal). I had ATT service for years. We got 0 service inside the metal building and 1-2 bars outside the building. I switched to Verizon because I saw they had towers nearby. This got us to 2-3 bars outside but still 0 service inside the building. We struggled with this for about a year. I had to hug one window inside to get enough signal to use the phone or I had to stand outside in the inclimate weather. Face time was out of the question. After researching boosters for a long time, I finally broke down and purchased the WeBoost Connect 4G-X. I got the biggest because I wanted to make sure to get enough signal to make it through all of the walls, both upstairs and downstairs. I walked the perimeter of the building and the roof with my IPhone in Field Test Mode. Found the best signal and mounted the antenna on a 20 ft x 2 inch PVC pipe. I was getting 2-3 bars at the outside antenna. I hooked it up and went inside and WOW. I am getting max bars in almost every room in the building. What a thrill. So I guess the booster actually does boost. I was hoping to get the 2-3 bars from outside to inside, so I was thrilled. I will probably cancel my satellite internet and just use my hot spot. I think I could have bought the mid range booster, but money spent is money gone. I ain't touching it....

Fantastic Product

I live in a canyon near Colorado Springs, CO. On occasion, I could get the random cell signal if I stood on our roof on one foot and held my mouth open with my tongue out. Any call would still drop out despite my acrobatics. The weBoost Support person offered a 30-day trial that I accepted with little to no hope. Very surprisingly, the booster worked! It worked great! We have constant signal with no dropouts now. We even picked up a couple of more towers I didn't know existed. The weBoost system does what it is supposed to do, something I don't see often these days.

Great Product

We live in a wooded area plus we have a lot of hills and valley's. I installed that largest unit and went form zero bars to a full 4 bars. I can walk anywhere in the house and not drop a call. It was worth it to us. Also we have installed this same unit in many of our buildings at work and it works well.

Necessary for cellular service where satellite only service

We mounted the booster on the highest point we could safely reach on the house, on a pole mounted on the exterior of the home about 35 feet high. The satellite only internet available at the location is not reliable. This is a great solution for multiple users and carriers of cellular service. I purchased a Microsoft tablet with a SIM card and added it to my unlimited cellular plan. Able to stream music, Netflix and no longer have to "go into town" for a better signal. Thanks!

Phenomenal- must have - 25mbps down on 4G

We bought this for our cabin up north which had no reception inside and only 1 bar outside. Now we have full bars inside and even get 25 mbps download speed! This has allowed us to enjoy our time up north at the cabin even more!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Question: Hi, I am considering a Connect 4G-X for use at a home in rural Florida near a forest. The nearest tower is about 4.5 miles away and I do not have line of sight due to trees. Signal strength at ground level with only a cell phone omni-directional internal antenna is -111 to -115 dB. I see the Connect 4G-X includes a directional antenna. What signal strength improvement could I hope for using the Connect 4G-X with the antenna mounted at a height of 10-15 feet? How about with the antenna mounted at a height that provides line of sight to a tower 4.5 miles away?

Answer: Thank you for your question! It's difficult to tell what the signal will do exactly at certain heights since signal ebb and flows constantly. We have seen units improve the higher the outside antenna is in weak areas simply because there are less obstructions and more signal because of less obstructions. If there's any doubt I always recommend doing a soft install of the amplifier which means placing the antennas outside and inside as best as you can without permanently mounting them making it easier to adjust the height, placement, and direction if needed. Dialing in the antenna would be the easiest this method rather than permanently mounting and hoping for the best. We are happy to help give further direction though if needed. Question: Can you add an Additional Indoor Antenna utilizing only one Outdoor antenna and controller? i have a somewhat Large cut up home, yet coverage area is less than 7500 sq. feet and coverage seems to fade on the second floor. If not what is my best option for Maximum coverage throughout my Home? Thank you.

Answer: Thank you for your question! Yes, its possible to add a second antenna if you're able to run the cable and afford the parts. I think if you're not getting coverage on the 2nd floor and you are getting plenty on the first then you should be able to add another antenna. When doing do, keep in mind that adding a 2nd antenna with coax cable will cut your coverage in half because the signal will be split into 2 halves. If you have signal and area to spare on the first floor, then splitting would be a good option. However, if you cant afford the signal to be split on the first floor then positioning the inside antenna may be a better option. I would call into our customer support for more details. They can be reached at 866-294-1660 or our online support at [email protected] Thank you!

Question: can I use 2 signal amplifiers between the outdoor, and indoor antennas for additional signal strength?

Answer: Thank you for your question! Yes, it's possible to split the outside antenna into 2 different amplifiers with their own inside antennas. We recommend only doing this if you're signal is really strong outside as the signal is split in half with the splitter and runs to the amplifiers. Amplifiers cannot be "daisy-chained" together as that will damage the components and will not improve signal. Question: I currently have the Connect 4G home booster installed. I'm mainly using it to increase the signal for my LTE Smarthub which is my internet. I have the outside antenna mounted about 12 feet above the roof on a tripod and I ran RG11 cable from my outside antenna to the booster (in my basement) and then used the RG6 for my indoor antenna. Now I currently have the indoor antenna pointed towards my smart hub which is 10 or so feet away. Is this too close and cause some interference? My smarthub has full LTE signal (around -90db maybe) and is a night and day difference from what it was before (had maybe 1 bar LTE with a -110 to -115db strength).

Answer: Thank you for your question! It's not too close as long as you're getting the supplied amplification you need for your modem. Please let us know if there's anything else we can assist with by calling our customer support at 866-294-1660 or our online support at [email protected] Thank you!

Question: Will this booster also work in a truck with a different outdoor antenna

Answer: Thank you for your question! Our Connect 4G-X is not made for mobile use and is illegal to use on a vehicle. It's only used for large homes and offices in stationary situations. We recommend using a mobile antenna like the Drive 4G-X OTR for trucks and semis. Asked by Nik 9 months ago

Question: Hello, a few questions on this product: 1. how long can the cable between the outdoor antenna and the booster be? 2. can I use N to F connector adapters and use RG6 cable instead? Looking to deploy at a place where running the supplied is not possible due to narrow pathways and conduits? Thanks in advance, Nik

Answer: Thank you for your question! The distance between the outside antenna and booster isn't an issue unless right next to it. The issue is having the inside and outside antenna be close to one another. With this unit we like to see at least 20 ft. vertical separation OR 50 ft. horizontal separation on the same floor. You can use RG6 with this unit but it needs to be adapted down and you'll lose signal because the Wilson400 that comes with this unit has much more loss. Try keeping the RG6 under 50 ft. for each antenna if possible. Question: Good Afternoon, My inside antenna is now mounted on a steel girder and somewhat tucked behind another steel beam (inside the 90 degree corner) of a aprox 7,000 sf garage and signal in offices not good. Do you think the placement near all the steel is affecting the quality of signal to offfice area? The unit was left behind by a previous tenant

Answer: Thank you for your question! Yes, you need to have the inside antenna in an open area to cover the best area with any amplifier. Metal blocks the signal especially if it's right in front of it. Question: I have been using this unit for 2 years and it works great! My antenna is ~100ft from my house in an area with poor signal (-105 to -110db). This has been serviceable using an LMR400 cable, but I'd like to do better. If I move up the hill, further away from my house, I can get better signal (-90 to -100). Would it be worth extending my line to 200ft from my house to get consistently better signal? If so, would it be worth switching to LMR-600 coax?

Answer: Thank you for your question! Extending LMR-400 is possible and more cost effective while using LMR 600 would give even more signal if the whole length is used but is expensive for that length. Please let us know if there's anything else we can assist with by calling our customer support at 866-294-1660 or our online support at [email protected] Thank you!
