Cabin in the woods

Two bars outside 0 to 1 bar inside. Had to go out to the parking lot to make or receive a call or even text. Installed unit with an optional omni directional outdoor antenna, now we have 2 to 3 bars inside. No more dropped calls or dead batteries from phone searching for signal.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Question: What are the downsides of this lower cost analog antenna compared to your higher priced antennas? Speed? 3G-4G? How is the signal brought inside, and how is it transmitted to my phone?

Answer: Mostly it comes down to the quality of materials used. The PRO version does have a little more gain but it's not enough to tell a huge difference. The signal is brought in in a 350 degree area, however it can only pick up signal in the immediate area where the outside antenna is located. It's transmitted to the phone through a cellular amplifier which then broadcasts that boosted signal inside your home or office. However the antennas themselves can be used for hotspots or cellular routers which have the same frequencies.

Question: I have a mountain home in North Carolina. Please look up Sapphire, NC. I purchased the Connect 4G-X | 471104. What is the best omni-directional antenna you recommend? What cable should I also buy to connect the antenna to the device?

Answer: The best omni directional can be found here: https://www.weboost.com/products/wilson-electronics-4g-omni-plus-building-antenna-50-ohm The cable that comes with the amplifier should fit perfectly. Thanks!

Question: does the booster pull from the public cell signal or do I need to connect to a private (paid) wifi service?

Answer: Thanks for your question! Our amplifiers are to amplify public cell signals from carriers towers in the area. No need to connect to a server or anything, it's all analog and is done passively through the amplifier. Please let us know if there's anything else we can assist with by calling our customer support at 866-294-1660 or our online support at [email protected] Thank you!
