Went from dead zone to 3 bars of 4G LTE AT&T

I was a bit skeptic when I dropped around $400 on this system about a month ago, and I am glad I made the purchase. We are out in the country surrounded by trees and hills. Our initial signal was zero.. so after reading the setup guides we decided to mount the antenna to our 50 foot poll tower. We had no idea where the nearest tower was but thanks to some of the q&a post on weboost they referred us to a app called Open signal. We made all the adjustments we needed prior to turning the system on. We powered it up and about 5 to 10 seconds later we had 3 bars of 4G LTE and data download speeds up to 20mbps and uploads up to 5 mbps. We will now be updating our data plans and cancelling our satellite internet and Vonage services. With that being said I'll be saving myself over $100 a month and the weboost will have paid for itself in 4 months. In short.. do research on finding your local towers, make adjustments, take time to set it up correctly and it will work. Thank you weboost!

It worked pretty good WHEN it wanted

A relative purchased this and asked me to install at his home. There is a tower about 3 miles away but on the other side of hills. Signal outside is sketchy at best for AT&T and very low but mostly reliable for Verizon. Install was fairly simple just time consuming. But went from 1x to 4G inside with Verizon and almost no signal inside to a solid 3G inside. After reading previous reviews from users and comments from the company I am surprised it did him any good at all considering his location and outside signal strength to begin with. Only downside was it would stop working a lot and would have to be re booted. The booster would always be very warm to hot and after 8 months just stopped working all together. Just have to get something more suited to his situation.

Garbage

This thing doesn't work. If you get any service without it don't bother getting one.

Excellent product

I live in a very rural part of Arizona, surrounded by ridges. Even in the closest town reception isn't that great. Before I installed my WeBoost I had to climb a 30' hill to get even limited sporadic reception. After installing WeBoost I get very good service - generally 3 or 4 bars of Verizon LTE. Installation was simple. I used Open Signal app to find the nearest (only!) tower, then quickly was able to aim the outdoor antenna to optimize the signal. Absolutely would recommend this product.

All the Difference

I have been suffering for many years with no cell service only to drive less than a mile for LTE service. It's like we're in a dark hole at our home. DSL internet is best we have which barely reaches 2 gbps. I decided to drop the money on this system and once I 'tuned it in' correctly it works great. Make sure you spend time finding the best location. If you don't you'll feel it's useless. I spent a solid day tweaking mine. Only issue I have is I'm still not 100% sure I have the indoor antennae located in the best place but does the job. I can use my LTE cell service to stream video, ballgames and way quicker internet. I actually paid Verizon a few more bucks just to upgrade the speed. Anyway works great and would recommend but remember make sure you calibrate it to the best signal. The cell tower app isn't exactly correct at least not for me. Brad

From no bars to 3+ bars. Great product!

I always had a reasonable signal outside the house, but usually none inside. I live in the mountains, so it's hit and miss. I asked my carrier about signal boosters and they were skeptical, as was I. Decided to bite the bullet and purchase a weBoost 4G booster package at BB. Good decision. After 1 1/2 hours setting it up -- locating the best place to mount the outside antenna, running the cable through the window and connecting the booster, etc. -- I checked my new phone and Shazam! Almost full signal at some inside locations and 2+ bars elsewhere. The package sports a hefty price but I believe it's worth it. No cell signal can make you crazy. One observation: the second step in the user guide says to point the outside antenna toward the nearest cell tower, which is puzzling since the antenna isn't connected to the booster yet. That step should come after the system is activated. Just a thought. Good job, weBoost!

I was totally blown away!

We just installed this today and could not be happier! It went from -119dbm to -84 and sometimes gets down to -74. Most of the time I see its-84dbm! We only use our data from our cells for our internet. Before it was 2-3 mbps and now we're getting 18-20mbps. Now we can stream movies without the buffering! I am so impressed with the difference! We are located in the country and surrounded by trees. We installed the outside antenna on top of our house and pointed it to the closest tower. We are on T-Mobile and cannot be happier! We were going to get internet thru Comcast but figured this would pay for itself and it will! We want to get a Weboost for our 5th wheel but will have to wait until we save more money up! I'm so glad I went with Weboost instead of another company!

Question: How do I get an accurate db reading at the antennae.?

Answer: Hello! If you have an Android phone, you can simply download a free app called Advanced Signal Status or Network Cell Info Lite to get some dB readings. Unfortunately, iPhone users are no longer able to get those dB readings due to the recent updates. Once you are able to get those readings, you can place your phone right next to the external antenna to get an accurate idea of what it is receiving. You can also place your phone next to the internal antenna to see what you get with the booster off and on. If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to call our customer support at 866-294-1660 or email our online support at [email protected] Thank you and have a great day!

Question: Will it support Hulu or Netflix on 📺?

Answer: Thank you for your question! The booster's will only amplify a cellular signal and not WiFi. However, if you are using a hotspot device using a cellular signal to provide a wireless connection, then the booster would be able to provide a boosted signal to the hotspot device itself. If you have any other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach back out to our customer support team at 866-294-1660 or email our online support at [email protected] Thank you!

Question: We live in a residence with one level of the home underground. If we install the interior antenna on the above ground level will we see a signal increase on the below ground level? If we install it on the underground level, will it increase signal on the upper level?

Answer: Thank you for your question! Where this kit is mainly designed to cover one room up to 1,500 sq. ft. it may have a hard time covering a second level. Especially when working with a weak outside signal as this degrades the coverage area. For a better idea on which system would give you the coverage you are looking for, I suggest reaching out to our customer support team at 866-294-1660 or emailing our online support at [email protected] They would be more than happy to assist you with any questions or concerns that you may have. Question: Can I skip using the boosters and connect an outside antenna directly to my MOFI router? My router is getting signal from the cell tower and if I connect the antenna directly to my router then the outside antenna will send the signal directly to my router and boost what my router sends out.

Answer: Thank you for your question! Yes, you can try to connect the external antenna directly into your router but you would need to figure out which connector your router uses for the proper adapter or cable. The antenna alone will not amplify the signal but simply transmit the available outside signal for your router to use. For best results, we recommend using a booster kit, which will amplify your signal, and place the router right next to the internal antenna for it to receive the amplified signal. If you have any other questions that need to be addressed, please feel free to reach back to us at 866-294-1660 or email our online support at [email protected] Thank you and have a great day!

Question: I installed this at my cabin and it does boot my signal only I have to have my phone within a few inches to a foot from the indoor antenna.is there anyway to improve my range indoors?

Answer: Thank you for your question! The best way to increase the coverage inside is by finding a better location for the external antenna where it receives a stronger signal. The outside signal strength is what determines the inside coverage. Replacing the external antenna with a directional antenna can help increase the incoming signal, resulting in an increased coverage range. You can also try replacing the internal antenna with a panel antenna like the 311155 to help increase the coverage. You would need a cable containing the SMA Male and F Male connectors. This can be found as part number 950621. If you have any other questions that need to be addressed, please feel free to reach back to us at 866-294-1660 or email our online support at [email protected] Thank you and have a great day!

Question: Which outdoor antenna goes with the home boost? I have panel antenna and looking to upgrade

Answer: Thank you for your question! The original panel antenna that goes with the Home Room is the 311155. If you are wanting to upgrade to a stronger antenna, we would recommend the directional antenna 314475: https://www.weboost.com/products/314475. Question: I have the weboost 470101 with the outside omni panel antenna. Would the directional 314445 75 ohm outdoor antenna kit work better? I'm running on 3G most of the time and sometimes can't even get that. My particular phone gets terrible reception, others can get 4G even without the booster, but spotty. But I'm stuck with it another year and a half with Verizon payment plan. So I'm really looking to get by for that time

Answer: Thank you for your question! Yes, the directional antenna would help bring in a stronger signal as it can be more fine tuned to the strongest tower. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee for you to test the antenna out. If it does not seem to work out for you, you are welcome to reach back out to us for assistance from our customer support or for a refund. Question: I have an older version of the home room product. It has 2 lights on it instead of 4 if that helps you to date it. Verizon has told us that they are dropping 3G service and I am wondering if the product we have will work with 4G, 5G, LTE or if I need to update that too?

Answer: Good question! The booster you have sounds like the Home 3G (473105). Unfortunately, this booster only supports the 3G network so if you wanted a 4G LTE system, you would have to look into our newer systems. Our systems will support your 4G network well into the 5G roll out. 5G's limited range will not replace the 4G network. Therefore, 4G LTE will be available well into 2030. If you have any other questions that need to be addressed, please feel free to reach back to us at 866-294-1660 or email our online support at [email protected] Thank you and have a great day!
